This Cookie Policy explains how DealersCloud ("we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website dealerscloud.com (the "Website").

There is no cookie banner on this site. DealersCloud sells to dealerships in the United States, and the tags listed below run for every visitor rather than waiting for a click. We think a banner that only ever has one useful button is worse than a page that names every tag we run - so this is that page. Nothing here is hidden behind a preference centre, and everything here can be switched off from your own browser.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to website owners.

Cookies allow a website to recognize a user's device and remember information about their visit, such as their preferred language and other settings. This can make your next visit easier and the site more useful to you.

Types of Cookies We Use

Essential

Needed for the site to work at all. On dealerscloud.com this is limited to security and anti-spam: our bot check on the demo and contact forms, and the short-lived browser storage a form uses to keep your entries while you fill it in. We do not use these for advertising or analytics.

Purpose: Security, spam prevention, and keeping a form you are filling in from losing what you typed

Duration: The browser session, or up to 1 year for the security check

Can be disabled: No - the forms stop working without them

Analytics

Google Analytics 4 tells us which pages are read, how visitors arrive, and where they give up. We use it to decide what to write and what to fix. We do not use it to build a profile of you, and we do not sell what it collects.

Can be disabled: Yes - browser controls, or Google's own opt-out add-on, both linked below

Advertising and measurement

Google Ads and the Meta (Facebook) pixel tell us which ads produced a demo request, and let us show our ads to people who have visited this site. This is the only category on this list that involves another company recognising your browser on sites other than ours.

Set by: Google (Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing) and Meta Platforms (the Meta pixel)

That is the whole list. We do not run session recording, heatmaps, or a cross-site data broker, and we do not set a cookie to remember a cookie choice, because there is no choice to remember.

Who Sets Them

Every third party that can set a cookie or a similar identifier through this website, and why it is here:

  • Google Analytics 4: which pages are read, and how visitors reach them.
  • Google Ads: conversion tracking, so we can tell which ads produced a demo request, and remarketing.
  • Meta (Facebook) pixel: the same two jobs on Meta's platforms.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile: the bot check on our forms, when it is enabled. It is a security control, not an advertising one.
  • Crisp: the live chat widget, on the pages where it is switched on. It stores a conversation id so a chat survives a page reload.

Anything not on this list is not running here. If we add one, this page changes in the same release.

Managing Cookies

Your Browser

Your browser is the control that actually works, and it works whether or not a site offers you a choice. Every major browser can block third-party cookies, block all cookies for a specific site, or clear what is already stored - look for Privacy or Site settings. Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge each document their own steps.

Blocking cookies for this site will not stop you reading it. The demo and contact forms may stop working, because the bot check needs its own cookie.

Do Not Sell My Information

DealersCloud does not sell personal information. If you are a California resident exercising a CCPA/CPRA right, or you simply want a person to confirm what we hold and remove it, use the Do Not Sell My Information process in our Terms of Service. It names the address, the mailbox and the phone number that reach a human.

Updates to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.

We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Cookie Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
