Credit union deals, submitted from the same worksheet.

DealersCloud connects to CUDL so a deal headed to a credit union is submitted from the desk like any other, with the buyer, co-buyer and terms already filled in.

Background

What CUDL is.

CUDL is the credit union lending network. For a lot of independent dealerships it is where the best paper goes - a member with a strong relationship at their credit union is often the cleanest deal on the board - which makes it worth submitting properly rather than by phone and fax.

What the integration does.

  1. Submit the application from the deal

The credit application is built from the deal you already have on the desk - buyer, co-buyer, the financed amount and the payment - so nothing is re-typed into a second system. You choose which lenders it goes to and submit from inside the deal.

  2. Buyer and co-buyer together

Both applicants are carried on the submission, which matters more on credit union paper than most, because a member co-signing for a family member is one of the more common shapes a credit union deal takes.

  3. The same flow as your other lenders

A credit union submission is not a separate process in a separate tool. It uses the same worksheet, the same buyer record and the same lender selection as the rest of the board, so nobody has to remember a different routine for the deals that happen to be going to a credit union.

Why it matters here

An integration is only as good as the record behind it.

The reason this connection saves time is that everything it touches already lives in one place. Inventory, the CRM, desking and F&I, accounting and your dealer website run on the same records, so data arriving from CUDL lands on a customer and a vehicle that already exist rather than creating a second copy of either.

Questions

CUDL, answered.

Does DealersCloud submit to credit unions through CUDL?
Yes. Credit applications are submitted to CUDL from inside the deal, carrying the buyer, co-buyer, financed amount and payment.
Do I need my own CUDL relationship?
Yes. The integration uses your own CUDL access and credit union relationships.
Can the same deal go to a credit union and a bank?
Yes. Lien providers are chosen per submission, so a deal is not locked to one network or one lender. You work the board the way you always did; the difference is that the application is built from the deal instead of typed again.
