We owe
A written record of anything the dealership promised the customer that was not delivered at the time of sale.
Definition
Also called due bill
A we owe records the second key, the missing floor mats, the repair promised before delivery, or the detail the customer is coming back for. It is signed alongside the deal.
Its purpose is that verbal promises made at the desk are forgotten, disputed, or remembered differently. Writing them down protects both sides and gives the store a list of obligations it can actually work through.
Unclosed we owes are a customer-satisfaction problem long before they are a paperwork problem, which is why they are worth tracking against the deal rather than on a sticky note.

DealersCloud runs inventory, the CRM, desking, the books and your dealer website on the same records - so the things in this glossary stop living in separate places.
